DermaLOC is a painless, needleless, and cost effective alternative to typical
wound closure methods. It is classified as a Class I Exempt medical device. In addition to value propositions in segmented
medical disciplines and markets, it reliably and simply everts skin and other tissue edges as effectively as suture - in
the hands of an experienced plastic surgeon. Skin edge eversion is the single most important facet of proper surgical technique
and wound outcome and is entirely lacking in closures with adhesives, tapes and energy based (light) technologies.

How It Works
DermaLOC - Paired interlocking components adhere to the edge of
a laceration or incision. Using a rack and pinion locking mechanism, the device is effectively
closed by pulling rail tabs to fasten the device together and tighten. A patent-pending "living hinge" everts
the skin edges. Once the device is secured, the strips can be snipped off. After closure, DermaLOC can be released for the
evacuation of infected and non-infected fluid. DermaLOC can then be re-locked when medically appropriate.
